OUR PRACTICES
Ethical Farming Practices

We proudly partner with local family farms that share our ethics and high standards for animal welfare. All of our meat products are freshly frozen, going straight from the farm to the freeze-dryer, and then to your home. Grazing animals are raised with access to open space, fresh air, sunshine, and natural diets of grasses and hay, along with proper veterinary care when needed. We follow strict animal-welfare guidelines to ensure every animal is treated with compassion.
Each product is hand-prepared by us. We personally clean, trim, dice, and cut everything by hand. We are a small, husband-and-wife business, and quality is never rushed. Only USDA-inspected and approved selections from state and federally licensed processing facilities are used. All animals must be healthy, and every item comes from facilities approved to produce human-grade food.
Our fish products are wild-caught from Lake Michigan, and the majority of our animal sources come from trusted farmers in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Our products do not contain denaturants, grains, additives, colorants, or added vitamins. They are not high-pressure pasteurized (HPP) or irradiated. The animals used are never 3-D or 4-D and are antibiotic-free, hormone-free, and steroid-free. We source exclusively within the United States.
